The Portrait Process
I work hard to make every newborn session easy and fun. When you inquire, here’s what you can expect to happen next.
01 | Get In Touch
To get started, simply fill out the contact form and I’ll give you call to continue the conversation! I believe it’s important to build a connection since I’ll be spending time with your loved ones!
02 | Session Day
It’s your baby’s big day! We’ll have already planned this in detail, so all you have to do is show up with the essentials (like diapers and a way to feed baby) and I’ll take care of the rest while you relax!
03 | The Reveal
After your session, we’ll get together again and you’ll see your stunning
images. At this appointment, I’ll also work with you to design gorgeous heirloom artwork that will grace your home for generations.
04 | The Art
This is the best part! Four to six weeks after placing your order, I’ll have your timeless, archival
artwork ready for you to pick up. Digital items will be delivered in a downloadable gallery!

My studio creative fee for newborn portraits is $300. Portraits begin at $190. Collections begin at $990.
Each purchased print includes the matching digital photo for no added fee.

01 | When is the best time for newborn photos?
In general, I recommend booking your newborn session in your second trimester, but it’s almost never too late to reach out, some seasons are busier than others, but occasionally I’ll have a last minute opening even during the busy season. As for the session itself, it’s best before baby is 3 weeks old; but, I am not afraid of older babies, so don’t hesitate to reach out even if baby is out of that window! Contact me to inquire!
02 | Are my newborns older siblings included in photos?
Absolutely they are! I encourage this! The newborn session does focus mostly on your new baby, but I always include that first family photo as well as some of mom/baby, dad/baby, and siblings with baby. Sometimes this session together can even help big siblings become more adjusted, and if desired, we can give them an “important job” for the session! 03 | What should we wear for our session?
My client closet is always growing, and you’ll of course have access to that! Whether you choose from my options, or want to wear your own, we plan all this out together at the design consultation, and I’m always happy to give feedback and suggestions if you want to send photos! I do have a style guide and I often make a personalized style board for you, complete with links to each piece if that’s the level of help you desire!
04 | How much should I budget for newborn photos?
While my session fees start at $300, your budget will depend on what you hope to do with your photos. I offer a variety of products, both digital and physical. Once I hear about your dreams for the session, I’ll be able to tell you the products that will be perfect for you! You’ll see full pricing during our consultation, and decisions are only made after you see your photos, so you’ll only purchase what you love!
My calendar fills up fast, so make sure to get in touch today to get availability for your next photo session. All sessions take place on weekdays. May-June and October always book at least 6 weeks in advance.
